Lola Falks Grown Up Gigs recording is now available! - When I Grow Up
Lola Falks Grown Up Gigs recording is now available! - When I Grow Up Well, my love of Lauren Falkowski just grows and grows. I first fell in love with her colorful, buttery bags (yes, they feel like butter) and then I fell for her sweetnessand now Ive fallen for her honesty, transparency and encouragement. She gave all that and then some for our Grown Up Gigs chat earlier this week, even coming with notes she prepared and samples of her earlier bags! I love how important it was to her to disclose the good, the bad, and the gloriously ugly of doing what you love for a living. In that vein, we talked all about: how she took the leap from Corporate America thrice! how a Spanish major/marketing minor became a sewing-obsessed handbag designer whats worked for her in terms of marketing and sales (shes been selling her stuff since 2008), and what she refuses to do what its like to work at Lululemon, and what made her leave how she deals with a feast-or-famine pay cycle what she does for support, both financially and emotionally what shes currently struggling with as a solopreneur who lives and works from her 450 square foot studio apartment (OK, you can probably guess this one) how shes gotten to price her bags at over $200 and why she doesnt feel badly about it in the least I mean seriously, she was just so opensee/hear it for yourself by clicking Play below!
